On Friday 19th November 2021 14:00-16:30  the LCA will be hosting its next in a series of networking luncheons at the Quo Vadis Club in Soho’s Dean Street.

These luncheons are an opportunity to have an intimate roundtable with notable members of the medical profession from across the healthcare sector and thus places are limited with priority offered to LCA members.

Our upcoming guest speaker is Dr Doug Wright.

Doug Wright is the Medical Director at Aviva UK Health & Protection. He originally joined, what was Norwich Union Healthcare in 1999 from full time practice as a GP with a background across hospital and community-based medicine. Throughout his time at Aviva he has developed the clinical capability of the business which is now at a mature level and allows clinical insight to be deployed at all stages of the customer lifecycle.

Doug’s role at Aviva is primarily focused on ensuring customers with health needs can access healthcare that is clinically effective but also delivered efficiently. He leads a team that provides clinical knowledge to all areas of Aviva. He also has specific responsibility for managing the clinical risk framework in Aviva.

Alongside this he is a key member of the team that assesses new technologies whether that is for adoption in the current health portfolio, as an investment opportunity or as the basis for a new proposition. Doug also serves as non-executive chairman on the board of Healthcode, a leading provider of IT services for the private healthcare sector and as a non-executive director for Owlstone Medical.
