A Seminar for Private Medical Secretaries

After a cocktail reception and some warming autumn food, Dr. Abina O’Callaghan, Consultant in Pain Medicine and LCA Trustee introduced Su Kingsley, Executive and Leadership Coach to the 19 medical secretaries attending.

Su Kingsley started her career in the NHS and Public Sector where she ultimately held roles as Board and Non-Executive Director. She has extensive experience of leading and negotiating change in complex organisations and across multi-agency partnerships. She established STRAD Consulting in 1997 to provide management and leadership consultancy and coaching.

Music is another important element of her life and she plays violin and viola in a number of orchestras.

Su is an accredited coach and member of the International Coaching Federation and completed the NLP European Coach certificated training with ITS in 2006. She holds the NLP Master Practitioner qualification and various other coaching qualifications.

Su told the secretaries about neurolinguistic programming and encouraged them to take part in three exercises employing this method of communication. This proved to be entertaining as well as informative as she guided them through various conversational techniques.
