GEOFFREY GLAZER HAS RETIRED FROM THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF FIPO
Geoffrey Glazer was the founding Chairman of FIPO in 2000 when he saw the need for an organisation which independently represented the interests of both the medical profession and patients in the private sector. FIPO represents nearly all the specialist association in the UK with private practice committees. As specialists practicing in the private sector we owe Geoffrey Glazer a huge debt of gratitude for fighting our corner and helping to improve standards. Geoffrey has always been passionate about striving for the highest standards of patient care, increasing choice for patients and fighting injustice and inequity He developed the FIPO Charter for Patient Engagement and many other initiatives that helped to formalise and strengthen the processes and implementation of clinical governance.“

FIPO’s future role will be critical as there are a number of serious challenges facing the sector. FIPO will continue to work to maintain professional integrity
