The Coronavirus pandemic has seen struggle across the whole healthcare sector as well as confusion and uncertainty for the present and the future of private practice.

Our LCA Chairman, Dr Mark Vanderpump, recently spoke with Robin Stride of the Independent Practitioner Today about the many worries facing the private sector, how we can support our colleagues and patients, and optimistically, how we can establish a new medical professionalism ‘to allow the NHS and private sector to work in a complementary and seamless manner for the benefit of patients.’

Private practice during the COVID-19 pandemic

The LCA would like to hear directly from consultants about how their private practice work has been affected thus far in this COVID-19 pandemic. We have formulated a short survey of questions – taking no more than 2 minutes to complete –  to gauge the effect the coronavirus has had and will have on your work for the future.

The resultant information will also help inform the LCA on how to create a programme that will best support the individual consultant going forth.
