The London Consultants Association was delighted to host the Medical Director of NHS England, Professor Sir Stephen Powis at the LCA’s Spring Influential Speaker Series dinner at the Athenaeum Club on 27th March 2024.
To an attentive and enthralled audience, Professor Powis spoke about the considerable challenges facing the NHS, suggested possible solutions putting patient care at the centre, and stressing the importance of the value of NHS staff. He highlighted the need for team working and embracing new technology to deliver the very best healthcare in future years against the increasing challenges of an ageing population.
LCA chairman Mr Ellis Downes commented: “This was a most enjoyable Members’ evening, and Professor Powis’ insightful talk was highly stimulating and knowledgeable”.
