LCA advises our members on their responsibilities regarding the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) and their data. 

Private hospitals and Consultants in private practice have a legal obligation to provide their fees to PHIN, in line with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) requirements. 

PHIN publishes information relating to private healthcare services to assist the public in making informed choices about their care. It is important published data is accurate.

Working in conjunction with the Federation of Independent Practitioner Organisations (FIPO), LCA advises Private Consultant doctors and PHIN to engage constructively to ensure that published information about their clinical practice is not misleading.
