The LCA held its regular Friday Medical Lunch at the Royal Society of Medicine on Friday, 27 September. These lunches, renowned for their relaxed and convivial atmosphere, bring together LCA members and a guest speaker – often a leading luminary in healthcare – for challenging conversations and the opportunity of meeting old and new friends.
Our speaker was Dr Rob Lorenz, a head and neck surgeon and President of Cleveland Clinic, London. As a senior clinician and medical leader, Rob spoke about how academic research, training and careful data collection allows high and consistent patient outcomes. Good discussion followed about how traditional patterns of healthcare are changing and the implications of this on patient care and medical practice.
